Tea Meskhi, the Marketing Manager of the Turkish pharmaceutical company Asfarma, which brought Aksen Fort to Georgia, believes that drug recognition by consumers is related to their satisfaction, trust, and long-term positive emotional experience therewith.

A. The recognition of Aksen Fort as a favorite brand is directly linked to meeting the expectations of customers and building an emotional connection with them.

One of the fundamental elements in the recognition of Aksen Fort as a favorite brand is also customer trust. Brands are built by customers and how they perceive them is important. Asfarma’s marketing team has been working successfully for many years to match customer perception with reality.

Q. Please tell us when the medicine became available on our market and how in-demand it is.

A. Aksen Fort provides a rapid and strong analgesic effect, setting it apart from other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs on the market.

Q. Aksen Fort is the second medication introduced by Asfarma that has won the Golden Brand, along with Griphot. Can you please tell us about the criteria you use for selecting imported medications? Do you choose them based on a shortage in the market or based on their quality?

A. First, I would like to point out that Asfarma’s team has achieved another victory by having two Golden Brand products in their portfolio. This accomplishment comes with a responsibility to continue providing high-quality medical products to customers with even greater enthusiasm and dedication.

The customer is the main priority of our company, so we select products based on their needs and demands. Our team has been working for 25 years to identify the needs of the pharmaceutical market and provide Georgian consumers with high-quality, reliable, and affordable products that are tailored to their specific needs.

The company’s portfolio in Georgia currently includes about 50 brands in such therapeutic areas as gynecology, cardiology, endocrinology, urology, neurology, pediatrics, rheumatology, dermatology, gastroenterology, respiratory system – allergology, and others.

The company is engaged in the marketing and sale of medicines and food supplements, which are produced by solidly established pharmaceutical companies in Turkey and other countries.

Q. How would you evaluate Asfarma’s contribution to the pharmaceutical market?

A. I would say Asfarma’s contribution is significant.

Our journey started with prescription medicines, while today we have a wider portfolio including OTC products, food supplements, dental products, and medical devices, which gives us the opportunity to work not only on disease treatment but also to help society by ‘Improving quality of life’.

Q. What are some new products the company has introduced recently?

A. Asfarma offers a range of biologically active food supplements, containing substances that people may not get enough in their diet. These supplements can help reduce the risk of disease, support the immune system, maintain general health, or aid in sports performance.

Asfarma’s new products include the Pemovo 30 tab. It contains a unique component called Pure Eggshell Membrane (PEM), which helps improve the function of the locomotor system.

The biologically active food supplement Asglucan, which helps strengthen the immune system, is also worth mentioning. We offer it in two forms: Asglucan 30 tablets for adults and Asglucan Plus 150ml syrup for children.

Also, dental products for dentures are an important product group at Asfarma. Recently introduced SD Ceram ceramic powder offers a high-quality product range to dental technicians. New forms of SD Ceram are under registration and will be marketed soon.

Last but not least, Asfarma is actively marketing medical devices used by doctors for various indications such as organ biopsy, urologic, and vascular surgery. New products are under registration process, and in particular, a urology product line will be developed this year.

In the future, we plan to expand our portfolio by focusing on high-quality products manufactured by our partners according to the Good Manufacturing Practice Standards and continue contributing to the improvement of quality of life among our populace.
