Discover the Healing Power of Khakhabo Natural Oils

Since its inception in 2021, Khakhabo has emerged as a pioneering brand in the production of cold-pressed oils in Georgia, distinguished by their rich aromas and health benefits. The company offers a range of oils extracted from flax, pumpkin seeds, black cumin, walnuts, almonds, sesame, and chia seeds, catering to both culinary and nutritional needs.

The brand prides itself on the purity and quality of its products, which are recommended by doctors and health professionals for their numerous health advantages, according to Zakaria Svimonishvili, the Director of Khakhabo.

Khakhabo’s oils have recently been officially recognized with the Georgian Quality Mark — a national product labeling system designed to enhance trust and value in Georgian goods by ensuring their quality and origin — by the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Golden Brand features an interview with Svimonishvili, discussing the benefits of Khakhabo healing oils.

Q. Could you please introduce us to Khakhabo?

A. Khakhabo is a unique bio-oil from Georgia, extracted by cold pressing. This product is essential to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Both doctors and scientists recommend our oil, which is 100% pure, healthy, and high-quality. If you’re looking to improve your well-being and address various health issues, our oils are an excellent choice.

One of the main advantages is that our oils are made from natural raw materials and possess exceptional healing properties. Khakhabo oils are commonly used in everyday life to help treat gastrointestinal issues, support weight loss, alleviate joint pain, and address endocrine, oncological, fever-related, kidney, bladder, and prostate problems, among others.

Q. Khakhabo is a young company, founded in 2021. How did you come up with the idea to produce healing oils?

A. Khakhabo has been on the market since February 2021. The inspiration for the company came from my search for Georgian products in the market, when I realized there was none available.

I began by pressing flaxseed oil and gradually explored other grains, which led to positive results. I ended up pressing seven different types of oil.

Q. What are the benefits of the cold-pressing process for producing Khakhabo oils, and where do you source your raw materials?

A. We utilize hydraulic presses to extract oil from raw grains, which are processed in special oak barrels. During our production process, the grains are not heated; instead they are cold-pressed, ensuring that they retain their beneficial properties. This method sets Khakhabo oils apart from others available on the market.

Regarding our raw materials, we source walnuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds, and flax from Georgia, black cumin from Egypt, and chia and sesame from Latin America.

Q. Please review all seven types of Khakhabo oil and explain their benefits.

A. Let’s start with chia oil. Chia oil is an excellent source of antioxidants, which protect cells from the harmful effects of free radicals. It boosts immunity and is rich in essential fatty acids (omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9), necessary for the formation and proper functioning of healthy cells. Chia oil is a powerful detoxifier, helping to remove toxins and waste from the body.

Flaxseed oil has a long history as a medicinal plant. In ancient Greece, flaxseeds and their oil were used to treat catarrh (inflammation of the mucous membranes), coughs, diarrhea, and stomach pain. This tradition continues today, and flaxseeds were recognized as medicinal plant of the year in 2005.

Almond oil is renowned for its anti-aging properties, as it slows down the aging process of skin cells. It also enhances hair shine and promotes beautiful nails.

Pumpkin seed oil can be used both as a food and a supplement. It is particularly rich in omega-6 fatty acids, which contribute to improved heart health and better blood sugar management.

Black caraway oil (Royal Oil) has three notable benefits: it helps dissolve kidney stones, inhibits the growth and spread of cancer cells and can reduce cholesterol levels as shown by studies.

Sesame oil is beneficial to joint health, as well as for the skin and nails.

Walnut oil is particularly advantageous for endocrine health.

Q. How are Khakhabo oils used for beauty care purposes?

A. We offer a range of healing oils suitable for beauty care. If you are experiencing hair loss, excess weight, slow hair growth, stress, insomnia, or vitamin deficiencies – which can lead to various health issues – Khakhabo oils can be very beneficial. We provide two specific oils for beauty care: one for hair and one for the face. The hair oil helps to prevent hair loss, improves hair structure, and eliminates dandruff. The facial oil reduces wrinkles, enhances skin texture, and protects against harmful ultraviolet rays from the sun.

Q. What are the company’s plans for the future?

A. Plans for the future include expansion, reducing prices as much as possible, and exploring export opportunities to other countries.

The natural oils manufacturing company Khakhabo has partnered with the Kutateladze Institute of Pharmacochemistry to produce Georgian bio-vegetable oils.

Products developed in collaboration with the Institute will soon be available on the market. It’s important to highlight that the Institute has a century-long history of extracting medicinal substances from plants.

The primary goal for Khakhabo is to make these oils accessible to all segments of the Georgian population and expand into international markets.

Khakhabo oils can currently be found in Georgia, with deliveries available to the regions by mail. In Tbilisi we offer a free courier service and are planning to distribute our products to pharmacies as well.

Since 2024, sales have seen a remarkable increase of 50-70%.

Q. Khakhabo has won the Golden Brand award in the Healing Oils category. What does this recognition mean for you?

A. Receiving this award will enhance Khakhabo’s trustworthiness and recognition, leading to a larger customer base.
